Full Name: Tyler Joseph Emanuel
Instrument: Lead Guitar
From: Aurora, IL
Musical Inspiration: Saul Hudson (Slash)
His Man-Crush: Slash and Bradley Cooper
He will soon be dominating the stage like no other modern day lead guitarist.
From a very early age, Tyler Emanuel knew that music was his one true love. When he was a toddler, his father was blasting AC/DC through their house, and it was that same band that drove him to learn how to play the guitar.
At the young age of 9 years old, he was learning to play the double bass because it was the closest he could get to a guitar at the time. Within the next year, his love of music would escalate into the form of creating it with his first guitar, and with his first inspirational band, Green Day.
Even though Green Day was the first to get Emanuel into the “realm of rock n’ roll,” Slash will always be his main inspiration. His Tumblr is filled with pictures of the legendary guitarist.
Nowadays, AC/DC is still being blasted in his household, but he surely isn’t a little kid anymore. Emanuel is a full-time student with a part-time job, but his main focus is still on the music.
“My life consists of trying to find a balance between work, school, and music. My schedule is pretty packed and some days I’m up early in the morning and going to work, then going straight to school, and finishing the night off with band practice.”
Even with seemingly no time, Emanuel can still dream of the future. Of playing the Rivera, with his idols Slash, Nikki Sixx, Duff McKagan, and of finding a lead singer for his current band.
Emanuel is hoping that he will be getting close, or have already gotten, a record deal and opening for some pretty large bands in the near future.
If you’re looking to be a part of the next big thing in music, then start following these guys. They don’t plan on breaking up any time soon or to be not making music in the near future. Soon, they are going to be taking the music industry by storm by “bring[ing] back the loud guitars and searing vocals that aren’t evident in a lot of modern music.”
Emanuel and his band mates are the guys to be looking out for.
