Death came for Eddard Stark recently in the form of an ordered execution from King Joffrey Baratheon.
Stark was deemed a traitor after his accusations of King Baratheon not being the correct heir to the iron throne.
At the young age of thirty-five years-old, Stark had already helped the overthrown of the mad king, been the Lord of Winterfell, Lord Paramount of the North, Warden of the North and King’s Hand to late King Robert Baratheon.
At a very young age he became good friends with the late King Robert Baratheon when they lived as the ward of Lord Jon Arryn.
He left behind is widow, Catelyn Stark of House Tully, and five legitimate children. The eldest, Robb Stark, has become the Lord of Winterfell after his father’s passing and is in a current rebellion against King Joffrey in hope of becoming the new King of the North.
Stark’s other sons, Bran and Rickon Stark are still contained at Winterfell at this moment in time.
His daughters, Sansa and Arya Stark are considered wardens of King Joffrey. Sansa Stark is still being considered as King Joffrey’s wife to be and the future Queen of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.
Stark left behind one illegitimate son, Jon Snow, who took the black and joined the Night’s Watch before his father’s execution, like his Uncle Benjen Stark.
